Loveliest of Tress

There is one way to know that Spring has arrived in the Texas Hill Country….Bluebonnets! They scatter the roadsides, empty fields, and yards with bright blue evidence of spring and new life. My spirit seems to be more awakened at Spring.

Spring invites us to explore, discover, and adventure. It calls us through its colors, blossoms, scents, and sunshine. Spring invites us to see and celebrate new life around us everyday.

I think I will let A.E. Housman bring inspiration to explore and enjoy Spring a little bit more today.

“Loveliest of Trees”

Loveliest of trees, the cherry now Is hung with bloom along the bough,

And stands about the woodland ride wearing white for Eastertide.

Now, of my threescore years and ten, Twenty will not come again,

And take from seventy springs a score, It only leaves me fifty more.

And since to look at things in bloom fifty springs are little room,

About the woodlands I will go to see the cherry hung with snow.
